Homedale is a city located in Owyhee County, Idaho. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 2,528. As of the census of 2000, there are 2,528 people, 842 households, and 595 families residing in the city. The population density is 1,109.2/km² (2,859.5/mi²). There are 933 housing units at an average density of 409.4/km² (1,055.3/mi²). There are 842 households out of which 42.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.3% are married couples living together, 12.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 29.3% are non-families. 26.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 14.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.95 and the average family size is 3.66. In the city the population is spread out with 36.0% under the age of 18, 8.8% from 18 to 24, 25.0% from 25 to 44, 16.2% from 45 to 64, and 14.0% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 29 years. For every 100 females there are 96.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 92.7 males.
